In production photo of over-scaled birdcages. The cages are made of cardboard, which will then be painted and glittered.
This soft to the touch lamp cast a beautiful glow when lit from within.
A second lamp was made, this time in an ice blue that had been hand dyed.
Ostrich is one of my favorite feathers to use. It takes dye well and fills a lot a space with almost no weight.
Setting up the giant arch way which will support a frozen chandelier covered in gems. A 10 foot tall and 30 foot long accordion pleated paper all stands in the distance.
A cardboard bird, constructed of hand cut layers which have been painted and glittered.
Birds were the dominate theme at this show. I'm always trying to work animals in somewhere.
The beginnings of the ice castle. Made of cardboard that will then be covered in sand then painted to look like snow and ice.
The Castle is almost finished. After being coated in sand, it will be painted and have faux snow added.
The centerpiece of the booth, this castle stands over 5 feet tall and has an over 3 foot diameter footprint.
The frozen chandelier ready to hang. To complete the "ICE" theme, jewelry will be added, dangling off the arms.
The first of many design awards I will receive.
